Challenge № 3 May | « Do something to help biodiversity »
Biodiversity is often mentioned in connection with the ongoing mass extinction. But as you know, it’s not just about the Amazon rainforest or protected areas: biodiversity starts at your doorstep.
Do you have a garden? Keep an unmown area near the hedge, to make room for biodiversity!
Don’t have one? You can make a seed bomb to throw in a secluded spot, or create a Bzzz zone (https://fr.ulule.com/zonedebzzz-saison4/)
Pollinating insects need flowers of all kinds, so by flowering your windowsill, your window box, the foot of the trees in your street, you are supporting them and doing something for biodiversity.
If you have a garden or if you share one, making an insect hotel is always a good idea and offers a welcome shelter to many precious helpers (a tutorial here, and it’s pretty too: https://youtu.be/y5z3Qr2RRjA)
